“Korkut Ata Turkic World" Film Festival

Conducted with the objective of preserving and transmitting the cultural heritage, the “Korkut Ata Turkic World Film Festival" spotlights the cultural significance of Dede Korkut within the Turkic world. In 2018, the collaborative submission by Azerbaijan, Turkey, and Kazakhstan for the category "Dede Korkut Heritage: Epic Culture, Folk Tales, and Music" was incorporated into UNESCO's Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

Baku International Short Film Festival

Established in 2004 by the Young Filmmakers Center, the festival was previously known as START BQFF. This event showcases a diverse array of films based on global and local cultural, political, and social narratives.

ANIMAFILM International Animation Festival

Azerbaijan's inaugural animation festival, ANIMAFILM calling together children, youth, animation directors, and studios with international practices. It features a multitude of animation films, hosts masterclasses and conferences led by both local and foreign animation experts, and presents concerts, performances, and exhibitions.

DokuBaku International Documentary Film Festival

Since 2017, Azerbaijan has been hosting its first independent documentary film festival on an annual basis. The principal goal of this festival is to promote the advancement of documentary filmmaking as a tool of selfexpression and contemplation, provide support for local directors engaged in this genre, and integrate the nation's cinematic scene within the global film community.

Salam International Youth Film Festival

Launched in 2019 by "Narimanfilm" film company, this festival is calling participants aged between 13 - 18. Throughout the festival, young attendees have the opportunity to watch innovative films from both international and Azerbaijani cinema, engage in discussions with industry experts, and play a role in the winner selection.

Sevil International Women's Documentary Film Festival

Operating since 2020, this film festival centers on gender-related topics within the country and on a global scale. It introduces curated films about gender-based subjects. Furthermore, it arranges a competition for short and feature-length documentary films, welcoming local artists' contributions.
